Summit Road Slip Remediation
NZ Foam insulation partnered with Hunter Civil to deliver a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to traditional polystyrene light fill for the Summit Road slip remediation project.
Over 40m³ of polyurethane foam was installed behind the retaining wall, providing a fast, efficient, and stable void-filling solution for the Summit Road rebuild. By reducing the need for heavy fill materials, minimising excavation, and lowering transport requirements, our system helped streamline the installation while contributing to a lower overall carbon footprint.
The NZ Foam process also reduced site clean-up requirements and minimised environmental impact on the surrounding area, making it an ideal solution for this sensitive location.
We are proud to have supported Hunter Civil in delivering a smarter, more sustainable outcome for this important infrastructure project.
Supporting a smarter rebuild on the Summit Road
The Summit Road rebuild called for a smarter approach to void filling. NZ Foam’s polyurethane foam offered Hunter Civil a lightweight, stable alternative to traditional materials – minimising excavation, reducing transport, and contributing to a more sustainable rebuild.
