What’s the R-Value like compared to other insulation products?
Not only does polyurethane foam insulation have a much greater R-Value (over 80% per given thickness), due to the air barrier effect created by polyurethane foam insulation, there is a much greater heat saving as R-Value doesn't take into account heat loss through convection or air movement through the exterior surfaces which account for up to 30% of total heat loss
How long does it take to install?
The installation of polyurethane foam insulation, depending on the size of the building and the areas of the home being insulated can take as little as 1 day to insulate
Does polyurethane foam sag or shrink?
Polyurethane foam insulation due to its chemically inert nature upon curing will show very little sign of shrinkage and due to its adhesive nature will not sag over the lifetime of the building
How environmentally sound is polyurethane foam insulation?
Due to the recycled component found in most polyurethane foams and the base of the product typically made from soy or castor oil and due to not needing to top up the insulation in years to come, polyurethane is well known to be environmentally and ecologically very friendly
Does Polyurethane foam out gas any harmful chemicals?
When applied correctly, upon curing, this typically taking around 24 hours, polyurethane foam insulation becomes chemically inert and will not outgas any harmful chemicals including formaldehyde

Due to polyurethane's ability to create a full air and moisture barrier, air will not convect through the insulated walls, therefore greatly reducing the shedding of moisture as condensation
Will polyurethane foam insulation support bacterial or fungal growth?
Mould, mildew and fungal growth is normally found in areas high in condensation, typically where air is allowed to pass through walls and ceilings normally found when using most traditional insulation products. Due to polyurethane’s air and moisture barrier properties, condensation becomes a problem of the past
When should polyurethane foam insulation be installed?
The best time to install polyurethane foam insulation is after the wiring and plumbing has been installed, before the internal cladding has been installed
What R-Value do you recommend?
As polyurethane foam can achieve very high R-Values in minimal cavity depths we can achieve much higher values than are achievable by most insulation products. Depending on the temperature variations reached in the area being built will depend on the R-Value recommended. Basically the better the insulation the better the savings and the more comfortable your family will be
